Killing in the name of...

I have to be honest; for a while there, I thought that the Muslims were the most dangerous of the piously motivated killers. These martyrs happily divide themselves by the thousands just to take out a crowd of non-believers. There is some terrifying psychology at work here. Are they really the most dangerous foes of an agnostic, Christian, Hindu, or even pagan worshipper?
The past year has proven otherwise, in a very morbid, Shakespearean à la mode. Yes, even with the numerous successful suicide bombings (and a few botched attempts), Christianity has earned the title belt.
Huh? CHRISTIANITY?! You heard me, silly. Why? Ask the believer. Well, I have my reasons for making such a bold assertion.
About a week ago, Michael Brea killed his mother with a Masonic sword. Not with one swooping motion, I'm inclined to add. He hacked her ass like a butcher on Thanksgiving.
Guess what? God made him do it. Guess what else? He does not regret it in the least. Would you not call it poetic, to be named after the archangel Michael slaying innocents in the name of God? This one case, terrible as it may be, does not yet fully support my thesis. While tripping on psychedelics, Jarrod Wyatt killed one of his very good friends, Taylor Powell. Not only did this dude kill his friend, he drilled a hole in his chest, ripped out his heart, tore skin off his face, cut homeboy to pieces, and then cooked the appendages on the stove. When police arrived, Wyatt was in his birthday suit, encircled in his buddy's body parts.
Guess what? God made him do it. Guess what? Even once the trip wore off Wyatt had, and has, no regrets. Now a Jihadist may kill in bulk, but I cannot remember ever hearing of such gruesome treatment of one of their co-believers (Powell was a self-titled Christian).
Think the crazies could not get any worse? What if the attacker was fourteen, and shot his best friend with a shotgun? James Doyle (16) was shot and killed by Allen Nadler (14) last month for being Atheist. At least this time there is no claim of divine council involved. But Nadler is only going to juvenile detention for three years! What the hell?! Pun intended. Judge Richard Clogg, Christian, waived the original first-degree murder charge. I guess killing an Atheist in Des Moines is considered all right, but if you kill a Christian or a minority your tail is looking at forty to life (regardless of age).
Yes, yes, you are right. An Islamic extremist would definitely shoot a friend if they turned out to be Atheist. Hell, they would decapitate him. But at least you know where he stands from day one. These Christians are turning psychotic at the drop of a hat. With my three preceding examples some of you may be saying, "Muslim extremists kill way more than this, it has been a tough year for all faiths, etc..." Ok. You may be right. I do not give leave to murder of any kind. Nor do I think better of a follower of Mohammed killing, than I do a follower of Jesus. My point is that there have, in 2010 alone, been a great number of people scrupulously kill family and friends for no apparent reason other than the will of Yahweh.
Might I add that I have written that I thought Muslim extremist the "most dangerous," and I mean what I say when I say that, at the moment, extremist Christians pose the greatest threat to the American secular society and, as I mentioned earlier, in some of the most morbid and theatrical fashions I have ever heard of. That is saying something considering I have cable. I did not even mention the college student who blasted his sleeping roommates face with a twelve gauge multiple times.
Moral of my story, "If God tells you to kill somebody, don't do it; deities are freakin' crazy."
